FI40 Flange Facing Machine – On-Site Flange Repair Challenge
Sinopec Tenth Construction Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Sinopec Engineering Group, faced a tough challenge: over 300 flanges with welding deformation and corrosion needed repair on-site. Most flanges were welded to pipelines and could not be transported to workshops.
MT Portable Machines provided FI40 Flange Facing Machine with servo motor, capable of machining flanges from 150 to 1000 mm in diameter. Our engineers trained their operators, allowing them to repair one flange per hour, or 10 flanges per day. To date, over 200 flanges have been successfully repaired.
The servo motor offers more flexibility and is ideal for high-altitude and on-site operations, outperforming traditional pneumatic motors.
